Outlook Weather Bar – How to Add and Remove

Being able to see what’s upcoming in your calendar and determining whether your task list is synced are features that any user will enjoy because it makes everything a lot easier.

Working with Microsoft Outlook for 8+ hours a day, allows you to work smart not only on your projects but also real-time updates of necessary information (climate).

Outlook Weather Settings

Outlook 2013 includes a weather forecast in your calendar. You can choose to add more locations or cities for forecasting their weather. Outlook-Weather-Settings 1

You are able to see a daily, three-day and seven-day weather forecast.

How to Show or Hide the Weather Bar in Outlook Calendars?

Some of your contacts’ birthdays fall on the same day. And you can see whether they are connected or not, with whom and their relationship status, at a glance.

  • Open Outlook >> Click the “File Tab” menu.
  • Click Options >> Click Calendar from the left side navigation section.
  • Go to the weather section (refer to the image below). Hide-The-Weather-Bar-in-Outlook-Calendars 2
  • Uncheck the option (Show weather on the calendar) to hide this option.
  • At the same time, you can change the unit of temperature (Celsius / Fahrenheit).

In case this option is unchecked, you can click on the corresponding checkbox so that you are able to add weather information to your Outlook Calendar.

How to Add, Change, Or Delete the forecast location in the Weather Bar in Outlook?

Outlook.com can be used in most countries, but people tend to have different preferences when it comes to time zones. For example, you may want updates for your city or time zone specifically every morning.

You can easily update your city of choice to see the weather forecast.

  • Open Outlook calendar by clicking the calendar icon from the button left corner of the screen.
  • Click on the little black arrow to the right of the city name and then hit “Add Location” from the drop-down list. Outlook-Weather-Bar 3
  • Original forecast for your city is supplied. A search bar lets you easily edit the existing credentials or add in new ones. All changes appear in real time as you type. How-to-Show-Or-Hide-The-Weather-Bar 4

You can add up to 5 locations in the dropdown list. In case you require another option, you will have to remove one that is there.

Delete Location from The Weather Bar in Outlook

For removing the city from this list, hit the black X to the right. Then from the drop-down list, select Skagen and hit “Add.”remove-city-from-weather-bar 5

How To Change The Weather Temperature Unit from Celsius/Fahrenheit and vice versa In Outlook?

Tendency is the standard unit with which a number of different countries measure temperature. The units in which temperatures can be displayed include Fahrenheit and Celsius. User can change the unit according to their own preferences.

  • Open Outlook >> Click File >> Options
  • to open the Outlook Options dialog >> Click Calendar from the left side navigation section.

Click on the radio button of Celsius or Fahrenheit depending on your choice to see the following weather graphs and differences: fahrenheit 7

  • Sunny
  • Cloudy
  • Partly Cloudy
  • Light Rain
  • Wind
  • Sunny Cloudy

Outlook weather service is not available

Most of our users are enjoying the weather update but there are a few bugs that we’re trying to work out:

  • The Weather Bar is a new feature since Outlook 2013, earlier versions not allow users to use this feature.
  • The weather bar on the calendar may be disabled, to enable the whether bar follows the steps above.

In an upcoming scheduled meeting, it can be good to check ahead of time the forecast for the skies.
