Fix Nvidia Color Settings Reset in Windows 10 or 8.1 or 7 without your knowledge. This can be remedied by making the appropriate adjustments to your computer’s display settings.
Display > Change resolution > Output dynamic range.
Ensure that this setting is set to “Full”. In most circumstances, it will resolve the “shady” look that can be visible on your display, and it should ensure that your colour settings stay as they were created when you make any in-game changes, such as resolution changes.
This general rule of thumb usually isn’t the end all be all when it comes to non-HD televisions. Remember, VGA and HDMI ports can only display at 720p (1280×720) resolution while USB Type C displays are capable of 4K resolutions at 60Hz.
If you opt to set the ‘Full’ range and then press ‘Apply’, the ‘Full Range RGB 0-255’ signal will be picked up.

Re-solder any burned-out or bent HDMI ports in your computer. If you still can’t get picture quality even with the correct cable, consider replacing your graphics card’s HDMI socket rather than buying a new one.

An ICC colour profile is a palette of colours that a piece of technology can be used to display. It’s given by the International Color Consortium. The properties which make up an ICC profile include whether or not particular colours are supported and what type of output method the profile supports.
Colour profiles are essentially mappings from one type of colour space to another, followed by a mapping between the second space and yet another colour space.

The following settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel also will fix the colour problems.
- 3D Settings > Adjust image settings with preview. Check the option – Use my preference emphasizing: Quality
- Display > Adjust desktop color settings : Use NVIDIA settings.
- Brightness : 40 to 60
- Contrast : 40 to 50
- Gamma : 1.1 to 1.15
- Digital vibrance : 50
Video > Adjust video color settings : Advanced
- Dynamic Range : Full (0-255)

- Edge enhancement: 7 to 10 (NVIDIA setting)
- Noise reduction : 10 to 12 (NVIDIA setting)
Of course, the above settings were optimized to suit a specific type of gamer: one that enjoys gambling, socializing and making all sorts of special colour combinations for his Gamertag.
According to Nvidia, “Setting digital vibrance to a value lower than 6 causes the colour controls to lose their full range of input. The resulting gamma-corrected colour levels will have their contrast reduced, causing them to be much less bright than intended. This can result in either washed out visuals or overly dark areas.”

Gamers can attach a specific setting to their contact list, if they’re in need of a more maximum FPS, they can add someone who has quite an outdated rig, such as an old Intel Core i5-750 that’s not running Windows 10 and playing a game like Witcher III.

1. Open Task Scheduler by pressing the Windows button and typing it.
